ABOUT US

Epidia Technologies is a specialized CVD diamond consulting company providing expertise in single crystal diamond, polycrystalline diamond, thin film coatings, and advanced materials engineering. Founded and led by Dr. Rahul Ramamurti, the company helps organizations develop, optimize, and commercialize technologies based on Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD), Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD), diamond materials, and advanced coating solutions.
 

Dr. Ramamurti's core expertise includes CVD diamond technology, plasma physics, nanotechnology, process development, and the engineering of diamond, DLC (Diamond Like Carbon), SiC (Silicon Carbide), and SiCN coatings for a wide range of industrial and research applications. His work focuses on improving material performance, wear resistance, thermal management, and advanced manufacturing processes.
 

He earned his Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and completed postdoctoral research at Michigan State University and Fraunhofer USA. Throughout his career, he has contributed to projects involving single crystal diamond growth, diamond substrates, diamond semiconductor materials, optical coatings, and advanced coating technologies for demanding industrial environments.

OUR VISION

Epidia Technologies is committed to advancing next generation single crystal diamond substrates for high performance applications in power electronics, semiconductor devices, thermal management systems, and quantum technologies. Our vision is to enable industries to overcome the limitations of conventional materials by leveraging the unique properties of CVD diamond, including ultra high thermal conductivity, wide bandgap, and exceptional electrical performance.
 

We focus on research driven innovation and technical consulting for the development and commercialization of CVD diamond technology, particularly in areas where high efficiency, extreme environments, and advanced performance are required.

Schottky Diodes

                                                       - Preferred rectification device in switching regulators, discharge protection in power electronics and rectifying circuits requiring high switching rate for use in radio frequency and microwave applications.

MOSFETS

                                - Complimentary MOSFETS would enable the use of CMOS circuit designs, which enable higher-speed operation and smaller gate drive requirements. In the power domain efficient complimentary inverters are wanted for DC/AC conversion of renewable and stored energy sources.

Thermal Heat Spreaders 

                                                                                    - High quality diamond heat conductors for disc lasers, femto-second lasers, UHF devices and power amplifiers.

Quantum Sensing and Magnetometry

 - Utilizes the Nitrogen-Vacancy center in diamond as a sensing source. Exploits NV spin dynamics in oblique magnetic fields near the NV's excited state level anti-crossing to optically pump the nuclear spin into a quantum superposition state.
